2. Information Collection Practices

2.1. What Basic Information Does The Company Collect?

2.1.1. In operating the Software we collect names and email addresses of logged in users. This allows us to provide a secure place to create and store content, on our service, so that our users can easily and securely share that content with other named users. From time to time we may use these email addresses to contact users to inform them about updates, issues and fixes with the Software. We will not use these email address for direct marketing unless the user has specifically opted in for such marketing.

This data is stored our servers, in the United Kingdom, which are in turn hosted by hosting partner Digital Ocean. Digital Ocean will only have access to our systems for maintenance and administration purposes.

2.1.2. In operating the Site, we collect personal information from you in a couple different situations. The first is if you should subscribe to receive emails and updates from us using the subscription fields found on many pages on the site. In doing so, you will provide us with your name, email address and, optionally, your company name and telephone number. The second is if you leave a comment to a blog post during which you may be asked for a name and other information. You are not required to provide us with information via these two methods to use and enjoy the Site.

Data collected on the Site is stored in several places depending on why you have provided that information. Subscriptions to news letters and direct email marketing will be stored in Mailchimp email marketing platform.

All signups for newsletters, marketing, trial requests and the general contact form are stored in our CRM (Customer Relationship Management System) provided by the Zoho Corporation. This information is stored on Zoho’s servers in the European Union.
